Categories

International
Considered as 1st class for those players who are over 1900 points including teachers and foreign players.

Experts or 2nd classs
For players who have 1700 to 1899 points.

Advanced
As well called 3rd class for players who have 1500 to 1699 points.

Amateurs or 4th class
For players under 1500 points and unrated.

Senior
Special category for players with any rating and 50 years old or olders.

Women
Opened category for women, any age and ratings.

Juniors
Category for boys and girls under 12 years old, under two divisions: Sub. 10  and Sub. 12.

Youths
All teens between 12 and 17 years old, under three divisions: Sub. 14, Sub. 16 and Sub. 18.

Press Conference at the CENAR
Thursday March 8th, took place the formal presentation to the mass media of the LIII National and International Championship Mexican Chess Open Aguascalientes 2007. The press conference was carried out at 10:00 hours in the Tennis Room of the High Performance National Center in the Federal District Sport Complex.
