Welcome all to Aguascalientes State, México. We receive you as our friends with open arms and with the hope that your participation in the Open Mexican Chess Tournament would be full of triumphs and great compensations.
It’s a true pleasure for us to be honored as your host in such important event that, in its 2007 edition carries the name of the Yucateco Physicist Alejandro Preve Castro who has dedicated his life in promoting science sports in our country.
Who are fans to this “Infinite mirror” that inspired the prose and verse of great writers as Juan José Arreola and Jorge Luis Borges, will find in this tournament a motive to increase their love to this universal discipline; which congregates men and women, young and adult, under a common denominator of geniuses.
We are truly happy to welcome those who attend this tournament, prompted by a spirit of healthy competence and brotherhood; players from all over the country as those from other countries around the world, far away by their geographical region but near by the wish to share the fondness and the passion for chess.
Welcome all. I’m sure that your stay in Aguascalientes will be pleasant.
